Camerimage Festival

With the beginning of the 31st edition of the Camerimage Film Festival on 12 November, the accompanying Nicholaus Copernicus exhibition was opened in the Old Town Hall District Museum in Toruń. One of its highlights is the Jan Matejko's painting "Copernicus the Astronomer, or A Conversation With God".
The exhibition has already enjoyed an enormous popularity. One of the first visitors was the American actor Adam Driver.
The painting will remain on display in the native city of the astronomer until the 24 November. For the duration of the festival (12–18 Nov 2023) the exhibition can be visited out of charge!

W dniu 10 listopada chcemy Was zaprosić do wzięcia udziału w ogólnopolskiej akcji #SPinDay 2023 zainicjowanej przez @Stowarzyszenie "Społeczeństwo i Nauka SPIN". Wydarzenie jest odpowiedzią na Międzynarodowy Dzień Muzeów i Centrów Nauki i ma na celu promocję edukacji wśród społeczeństwa oraz integrację między instytucjami kultury, instytutami badawczymi oraz organizacjami prowadzącymi działalność popularyzacji nauki.

Following the Krakusek contest for third-grade primary school students

The best way to celebrate the 550th birth anniversary of Nicolaus Copernicus is to make young people interested in science, the life of the astronomer and his achievements. For that reason, together with the Juliusz Słowacki Social Primary School and the Akademia Żakowska, our Museum is organising a contest aimed at third-grade primary school students named Following the Krakusek: Nicholaus Copernicus in Kraków. Inauguration of the new academic year

The day of 1 October has a special significance for Kraków and the academic community, as the inauguration of the academic year has been taking place at this time for many years, with the inaugurational procession setting off from Collegium Maius. On this occasion, we would like to invite you to visit the Museum's standing exhibition on Sunday from 12:300 to 14:30 (last entry) and the interactive exhibition "Old and new sciences". The ticket costs just 1 Zloty!
