Museum poster exhibition

For the first time in its history, the Jagiellonian University Museum presents an exhibition of museum posters. This exhibition was put on display in the Collegium Maius cellars before the outbreak of the Covid-19 epidemic and will be available again after the museum reopens. The presented collection consists of 60 posters from the 1981-2014 period which document temporary exhibitions created by the Jagiellonian University Museum and other institutions. The featured works show a multitude of techniques, including paper-cut posters, ink compositions, digital graphics and printing. The exhibition recollects the most interesting museum events based on the domestic collection and exhibits lent from external sources. The posters are related to following exhibitions:

  • Silva rerum
  • Beauty bequeathed
  • Wit Stwosz’s anniversary
  • Cicer cum caule
  • Jewish community 1864-1939
  • Feliks Topolski. Painting, drawing, graphic art
  • Into the unknown… Following Lewis and Clark in the American West

...and many others.
