Małopolska Night of Scientists

The Małopolska Night of Scientists is to begin soon on Friday, the 30th of September. We will meet the employees of the Jagiellonian University Museum during two online workshops: 'King Chrobry saved beavers. Nature conservation as a part of university legacy' and 'Noble Health. Health advice given by Jan Kochanowski, Nicholas Copernicus and other personages affiliated with the old University.'

Participants will learn about the history of nature conservation in Poland and the role played by the Jagiellonian University in the development of enviromentalist thought. The target audience are children and adolescents.

20:00 'Noble Health.' Health advice given by Jan Kochanowski, Nicholas Copernicus and other personages affiliated with the old University.

Participants will learn about the little known medical aspects of Nicholas Copernicus' work, as well as about other persons associated with the historical Cracow University who made significant contributions to the development of medical knowledge and practice. Moreover, attendees will get familiar with their opinions on matters of health and find out which advice left by those famous personages is still viable. The target audience are children above the 6th grade of elementary school and adults.
