Children's Day in the Museum

For this special day, the JU Museum has prepared integration workshop for the children with sight loss and impairment. The workshops took place in the Museum's conservation office. All participants had the chance hear about conservationist's work, and to touch sculptures, paintings and tools. The children listened to the performance of the "Promyki Krakowskie" ensemble and attended an integration lesson of art history.

Opening of the Hugo Kołłątaj exhibition

On 200th anniversary of his death, year 2012 has been anounced to be Hugo Kołłątaj's year. On 28th May 2012 the exhibition named "Dziwne igrzysko losu i przeznaczenia. Żywot Kołłątaja w odsłonach kilku" was opened in the JU Museum.

Night of Museums in Jagiellonian University

For the 9th edition of Night of Museums in Cracow, exhibitions were prepared by JU Museum, JU Zoological Museum, JU Botanical Garden, CMUJ Pharmacy Museum, JU Geological Museum, JU Paleobotanical Museum, and others.

XII Festival of Science in Cracow

Since 2005, during each edition of the Festival of Science, the Jagiellonian University Museum presents its conservation office in cooperation with the Department of Art Conservation from the Academy of Fine Arts. Thanks to this 20-years long cooperation, visitors are able to watch conservators doing their daily work.

Touching Culture - meeting with arts

On 26th April 2012, as a part of the 5th edition of the Cracow's Integration Days, the JU Disability Support Service together with the Jagiellonian University Museum held a meeting with arts under the motto "Touch Culture", an open visit in the Collegium Maius with special focus on needs of the disabled.
