Presentation of historical astronomical instruments

Visit our Museum for a hands-on encounter with replicas of pre-Copernican astronomical instruments and see the collection of historical astronomical instruments. The event is to take place in the Jagiellonian University Museum on 2 December 2022 at 2 p.m.

Programme:

Sundials as astronomical instruments (Polish) — Rafał Zaczkowski (Przypkowski Museum, Jędrzejów)

From armillary sphere to torquetum (Polish) — Prof. Jarosław Włodarczyk (PAN Institute for the History of Science)

Astrolabes and Astrolabe Stuff (English) — Prof. Josefina Rodríguez-Arribas

Tour of the astronomical instrument collection in the Jagiellonian University Museum
