From 20 December on, the Jagiellonian University Museum will be hosting the new exhibition "Ubi societas ibi ius. Jagiellonian University's Faculty of Law as the spiritus movens of social and political progress over the centuries" organised by the Faculty of Law of the Jagiellonian University. The exhibition will showcase unique exhibits tied to the centuries-old history of the Jagiellonian University's Faculty of Law, including authentic seals, old prints, and historical documents. Visitors will also learn about the methods of passing knowledge, facets of (everyday's) practice of law or the role played by the Faculty of Law in the history of Galicia, as well as about the burdensome legacy of the 20th century and experiences of the World War Two.

The majority of objects displayed in the exhibition belongs to the collections of the Museum of Military History of Silesia in Pszczyna and the Jagiellonian Library.

The exhibition will be open from 20 December 2023 to 31 January 2024, from Monday to Friday at 10:00–15:00. Free entry.
