Directors: Adam Cieślak and Bogusław Sławiński; cooperation: Aleksander Madej
In years 2004 – 2006 a two-part movie telling about the affiliations of Karol Wojtyła with the Jagiellonian University was produced, documenting the 1930 – 1954 and 1954 – 1978 periods of his life.
The documentary was initially meant to be a gift for the Polish years, and later became an important historical document. Its makers were able to reach and interview all living friends of Karol Wojtyła from the time of his University education. Many unique and previously unknown informations from archives and private persons were found. Especially valuable were films created by Dr. T. Ryłka and other persons from the academic community, all of whom had been closely connected to the Pope over decades.
