Festival of Science in Collegium Maius
This year's edition of the Festival of Science managed to attract not only devotees of old photography, but a broader public too, interested in art conservation. In the courtyard a camera obscura was installed, the predecessor of photo camera. The collodion technique, popular in the mid 19th century, and talbotype were also presented. Visitors were able to learn about conservation of old photographs, and how to keep them safe from damage. During the two festival days, more than 1300 persons visited the Jagiellonian University Museum.
