Exhibition: 'Welcome to the Nanoworld'

The 'Welcome to the Nanoworld' exhibition is an exceptional event among other events taking place in Polish museums.

An ordinary exhibition usually has one or a few curators. Preparations for this exhibition, however, involved a few dozens of people – students of secondary, technical and general high schools, who designed and created interactive exhibits presented on the exhibition.

The new exhibition is a summary of the international educational project 'Irresistible' which aimed to make young people familiar with questions concerning the responsibilities of scientific research and introducing innovations. For several months, the Polish students, similarly to their peers from 10 other countries, have been participating in experimenting classes, discussing the role of science in the society, visiting academic institutions and scientific interactive exhibitions, to finally design and create exhibits for a school interactive exhibition. The most interesting exhibits created by the students will form an exhibition which will be presented to the broader audience in the Jagiellonian University Museum in Cracow. The opening event is to take place on the International Museum Day, on 18th May, at 16:00 in the Collegium Maius courtyard. The exhibition will be open to 31st July, free entrance.

Opening hours:

Monday – Saturday 9:00 – 14:00
