The best way to celebrate the 550th birth anniversary of Nicolaus Copernicus is to make young people interested in science, the life of the astronomer and his achievements. For that reason, together with the Juliusz Słowacki Social Primary School and the Akademia Żakowska, our Museum is organising a contest aimed at third-grade primary school students named Following the Krakusek: Nicholaus Copernicus in Kraków. W ramach konkursu uczestnicy mają okazję wziąć udział w wycieczce śladami astronoma "Z Kopernikiem przez Kraków", a podczas wizyty w Muzeum UJ Collegium Maius uczestniczą w warsztatach "W średniowiecznym lektorium z Mikołajem Kopernikiem", gdzie dowiedzą się, jak wyglądały studia Kopernika i nauczą się posługiwać przyrządami astronomicznymi z jego czasów.
