Night of Museums 2011
The topic of this year's edition in Collegium Maius were the works of Czesław Miłosz, as a part of the 100th death anniversary of the poet. The Night of Museums featured screenings of "Dolina Issy", a movie directed by Tadeusz Konwicki in 1982, a presentation of Miłosz's publications released in exile, which were later confiscated by the Communist customs service, and visitors to the Professor Garden were able to see large-format prints and listen to songs based on his poetry. Keepsakes related to Pope John Paul II, the honorary doctorate of the Jagiellonian University, were exhibited in the Collegium Maius Libraria.
