Promotional event of Zygmunt Starachowicz's book
As a part of the University's Memory Day celebrations, on 5th November 2012 the promotion of the Zygmunt Starachowicz's book "Pamiętnik ofiary Sonderaktion Krakau. Wspomnienia z akcji przeciwko profesorom uniwersyteckim w Krakowie (6-10 listopada 1939 roku) was held in the Collegium Maius Libraria.
The book was released with support from the JU Museum and the Museum of Second World War in Gdańsk. It is a historical recording of the events from 6th November 1939 and the following days of imprisonment, as witnessed by Zygmunt Starachowicz, who graduate of the JU Law faculty, who was accidentally arrested and participated in the event known as Sonderaktion Krakau – the imprisonment of academics from the Jagiellonian University and other Cracow's academies, done by the German occupants.
