Guided tour in the Jagiellonian University

On Sunday, the 11th May, we would like to invite you to visit the magical places in the academic quarter, where history meets the present. Take a tour through the Collegium Maius, the lesser known University courtyards, the Professor Garden, to finally reach the Collegium Novum. In your journey through history and science, you we'll be accompanied by tour guides and custodians from the Jagiellonian University Museum.

Two programmes are available:

1. Tour through the Jagiellonian University courtyards to the Collegium Novum

The playing clock with a procession of academic figures, the passage between the Huta Courtyard and the Arcade Courtyard, a visit in the Collegium Novum Aula, and even more attractions available in company of museum guides.

Meeting in the Huta Courtyard (ul. św. Anny 10), visit in the Nowodworski College, then in the Arcade Courtyard (playing clock), through the Long Hallway to the Professor Garden, history of the university quarter, a stop at the Oak of Freedom. Visit in the historical Room 56 (Sonderaktion Krakau) and the Collegium Novum Aula.

Time: 11:00, 12.00, 13.00 (English tour), 14.00, 15.00, 16.00 (English tour), 17.00, 18:00

Duration: ca. 45 min.

2.Visiting the Collegium Maius Museum –  the ‘from Libraria to Aula' exhibition

Would you like to visit the Treasury? To see the insignias of the oldest university on its 650th Jubilee? To take a seat in the Jagiellonian Aula, the place where John Paul II received his honorary doctorate? Visit the oldest seat of the Jagiellonian University – Collegium Maius.

Time: 11:00, 11.30, 12.00 (English tour), 12.30, 13.00, 13.30, 14.00, 14.30, 15:00 (English tour)
