Honours to the distinguished physicists

On 8th January , the Collegium Maius Aula was the place of the Senate's formal sitting due to the doctorate renewal ceremony of Prof. Józef Masłowski, the longstanding Director of the JU Astronomical Observatory and Chief of Radioastronomy and Space Physics Department, and Prof. Jerzy Blicherski, the founder and Chief of Radiospectroscopy Department of JU Institute of Physics. Requests for making it a general university event were made respectively by professors from the JU Astronomical Observatory and JU Institute of Physics. The ceremony held in honour of both laureates had a special, solemn, but also cordial and warm character. The Collegium Maius Aula saw numerous students and friends of both professors gathered together with the members of their families.
