Students' Art Week

The Jagiellonian University Student Government invites all students to participate in the third edition of the Students' Art week, which will take place from the 15th to 20th March 2016. Except for free museum tours (i.a. National Museum in Cracow, MOCAK, International Cultural Centre, Cricoteka - Centre for the Documentation of the Art of Tadeusz Kantor, Ethnographical Museum, Archeological Museum, Museum of History of Photography, Palace of Arts), the Student Government has prepared numerous side events: curatorial exhibition tour, workshops, public debates, film screenings, meetings with artists, museum classes, and many others. The honorary patronage has been assumed by His Magnificence Rector of the Jagiellonian University, Prof. Dr hab. med. Wojciech Nowak.

The Museum's main exhibition (from Libraria to the Aula) will be available from the 15th to 19th March, with visiting times and rules available here: http://www.maius.uj.edu.pl/zwiedzanie

The Museum has prepared additional events which require online reservation: http://www.studenckitydziensztuki.pl/

  • 15th March, 4 pm: the collection of scientific instruments – guided tour in the first and second part of the exhibition,
  • 16th March, 4 pm: guided tour in English of the first part of the museum exhibition,
  • 17th March, 3 pm: museum class – ‘Origins of the Jagiellonian University'.
