Students' Art Week

The Student Government of the Jagiellonian University invites all students of the Jagiellonian University to join the 9th edition of the Students' Art Week. This year's central theme is Time. The goal of the Students' Art week is to encourage Jagiellonian University students to actively participate in cultural events, get familiar with Cracow's cultural heritage, and engage in discussions on contemporary art.

All attendees will have a chance to participate in workshops, lectures, museum classes, and film screenings hosted by Cracow's cultural institutions. The events will be free for the duration of the project, from 28 March to 10 April 2020.

The Jagiellonian University Museum will focus on presenting its exhibition and museum collection, as well as the workshops 'Dangerous invention? The beginnings of mass printings in Cracow' which will offer the opportunity to gain knowledge about the revolutionary invention of the movable type, the development of printing techniques and a close encounter with extraordinary old prints and classic Polish authors of the Renaissance age. The participants will also have a chance to closely examine woodcut blocks from the museum collection.
